im in love with a boy who makes me cry every.single.day.

so wheres the sense in that?

he was, for many months, for all intensive purposes, my best friend. my absolute best friend to whom i told everything.

and even after he continues to break my heart over, and over, and over again, he is still the first person i want to talk to when something good (or bad) happens. when i am scared, hes the first person i want to be near. when im lonely i find myself reminiscing about all the days and nights that we spent so unequivocally happy this summer. april, may, june and july were perfect. and because they were so perfect, i lost my best friend.

tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all?
what a shitty statement.

Put itunes on random. Pick the first song, click Genius mix. Take the songs from that mix and pick your favorite lines. Mix them up and write a poem.

Dean DeFino would be proud of me.Collapse )

ive been re-reading all my books (so far a wrinkle in time, a wind in the door, HP 1,4, and part of the golden compass) for the spring semester.

all of them are about the inherent struggle between good and evil and let me tell you it is EXHAUSTING to keep reading about it!

i cant wait for the rest of my books to get here so i can listen instead of read.

I will be reading the following books in one of my English classes next semester:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
A Wrinkle in Time
A Wind in the Door
The Golden Compass
The Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass
The Magician's Nephew
The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe
The Silver Chair
The Last Battle

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read all of those books either with Mrs. Byrnes or in Mrs. Berkowitz's class in 3rd/7th grade, with the exception of the HP books, those I read as they came out, respectively in 6th grade on. I'm so excited!!! This is the type of Literature class I have been waiting for!

Also, I just ordered A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, The Golden Compass, and The Subtle Knife on audio CD. I like to listen to all these books while I read them. My wish list includes the Amber Spyglass Audio Book, the His Dark Materials Boxed Set, the Chronicles of Narnia Audio CD and Boxed Set, the Wrinkle in Time Quintet... and... I would really, really, really love the Harry Potter books (all of them) on CD... but its somewhat close to $350 which is totally out of my budget. It would be so nice to have all these things for my classroom someday too... I also want to get all the Harry Potter books in paperback, I have them all in hardcover, but those are mine and I'm not putting them in a classroom library. Gotta start my classroom library someday =) And I'll be the innovative one who has everything in print and on audio cd, because no matter what age you are, it is always nice to listen to a story.

Now I still need to write 2 more lesson plans, however, I think I will go to sleep and do them in the morning because I'm shot.

So I don't think I've written a Christmas wish list since I was 10 years old, but there are a few things that I would really enjoy this year:

Keurig Coffee Maker with a bunch of k-cups to go with it, preferably caramel-vanilla or french vanilla flavored ones

A new lens for my camera... i only have a 18-55mm one and I would really like one that zooms more.

A Kitchenaid Stand Mixer... I've sort of given up on getting this until I get engaged/married.

Something ridiculous like 800 thread count sheets. I also actually need new pillows. But those I can buy myself.

To get my little digital camera fixed, because I don't like to bring the rebel when I go out because I'm afraid that it will get broken.

To get the Education Medal at graduation.
To be the valedictorian (total wish here)
To be chosen to speak at Graduation... (yeah, right.)
And not that I need it, because everything that I've done at Iona extracurricular wise has just been because I enjoy doing it- but to be chosen for one of the 3 big awards at the Gael Awards at the end of the year, just to prove to one asshole that I am truly dedicated to Iona for the right reasons. Ahem.

Now on the real wish list:
For maybe for things to work out... such a long shot and I'm totally counting my chickens before they hatch, but everyone keeps telling me things happen for a reason... Even though my mother warns against it, I'm curious to see what could possibly happen, its only been 17 years in the making? And it was his idea, not mine.

Goals:
To lose all the chemo/prednisone weight and keep it off for good. So thats like 20 pounds, in addition to the other 15 that I started losing before I got sick. I'll settle for 25 pounds total.

Now that I have spent even more time procrastinating today, I really do need to crack down, maybe eat something and write 6 more lesson plans for my portfolio, and study for my final tomorrow. ugh. This semester needs to be over!

Havent posted in 5 weeks, I swear I'm still alive.

Only 4 more weeks of the semester, 4 more weeks of student teaching. 6 more days in fifth grade, then thanksgiving then kindergarten. One more observation to go, one more project to go, two units plus 6 other plans and my entire portfolio and then I'm 15 credits away from graduation. Yikes.

One year with boy came and went because I had to get my period two days early and then he had to go and get sick. Two weeks without seeing him equals sad face.

6 more days until I am done with the prednisone, thank goodness! I've been on this drug in varying doses for 10 very long extremely excruciating months. I am so happy that my face is going to go back to normal so I don't look like a chipmunk. Just in time for senior pictures. I hope they come out nice!!

Now it is time for me to go to bed cause I am exhausted. Night lovelies.

two new recipes coming tout-de-suite.

one for wonton soup.
one for pork fried rice.

not vegetarian friendly, which means i will be making this for myself more often than not because all of a sudden 98.4% of my friends are vegetarians. right.

in other news, my hair is growing back to a noticeable point. the top looks a lot fuller, the botton still looks pathetic and thin. however, if this continues at the rate its going, perhaps i shall have a full head of hair by the time formal rolls around. down to 2mg of prednisone a day... keep your fingers crossed for no relapse.

wooooo

also, 3 day weekend. yay. working 5-9pm in lapentsss.
